Endo Warriors, We See You
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and if you’ve never heard of Endo before, here’s a stat that might surprise you: 1 in 7 women in Australia are living with this condition. Yet, despite being so common, it still takes an average of 6.5 years to receive a diagnosis. That’s six years of being dismissed, misdiagnosed, and told that excruciating pain is “just part of being a woman.”
But here’s the thing - it’s not.
What is Endometriosis, really?
Endometriosis is not just “bad period pain.” It’s a chronic disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, causing severe pain, bloating, digestive issues, fatigue, fertility struggles, and a whole host of symptoms that can make even the simplest daily activities feel impossible.
It’s cancelling plans (again).
It’s pushing through work when your body is screaming at you to stop.
It’s being told, “just take Panadol,” while your quality of life slowly slips away.
And worst of all? It’s often invisible.
At Rebound, we know that so many of our clients - our friends, our family - are quietly battling endo every single day. Maybe that’s you. Maybe it’s someone you love. And that’s exactly why we’re stepping up to help.
How we’re taking action
This month, we’re donating $1 for every active member, every week, to Endometriosis Australia. That means just by showing up to class, you’re helping fund crucial research, education, and advocacy for those living with this disease.
Because the reality is, awareness alone isn’t enough - endo warriors need better diagnosis times, better treatment options, and better support.
What you can do
💛 Start the conversation. Whether you have Endo or not, talking about it helps break the stigma. Listen to the experiences of those around you, and don’t brush off period pain as “normal.”
💛 Learn more. Endometriosis Australia has incredible resources on symptoms, treatments, and ways to advocate for change.
💛 Support the cause. Whether it’s through donations, sharing information, or simply checking in on someone you know with endo, every little action counts. You can donate directly to Endometriosis Australia here.
To every Rebounder living with Endo: we see you, we believe you, and we stand with you. This month (and always), we’re in your corner. 💛
